Thanks--a very interesting review. We sailed the Panama Canal on the Celebrity Constellation. It is one of our favorite cruises. But, it was 3.5 yrs ago--so, things may have changed on Celebrity ships since then.

I hope the crew was having an off cruise. We plan to give Celebrity another try soon.

Did this ship have a T- pool? that is my favorite thing on any ship.

Hope everyone had a great holiday!
I watched one of them ( TurDucKen) put together on some ones talk show. It was reall neat to watch.

They are really neat to eat!
Since the birds are deboned, you can cut the breast into two "loaves" and then cross-cut these into slices giving each person a cross-section showing the three meats with stuffing between each. Very novel.

I stripped out all the stuffing and skin from the left-overs last night and made a three fowl pot pie. As it was the last Sunday of the regular NFL season, both sons were in residence and the pie is gone...

Good review Georgia. The CD must have been related to Ricky Matthews on Grandeur because we never saw him about the ship except one afternoon in the Diamond Lounge for approx. 30 minutes.

I enjoyed reading your review Georgia. It was very well put together and informative. I'm amazed that you could remember so many details like that. Thanks for sharing. I also looked at your pictures on facebook and it was nice to see what Infinity looked like. It looks like Infinity is smaller that Grandeur. If that's the case, did you experience much rocking of the ship.

Two Canadian men missing from RCCL ships in a week. One jumped overboard and the other disappearing from his cabin overnight. What's going on?

Stella, yes, they are comparable is size, however, the Infinity uses space much more wisely. There was casual, but elegant, seating EVERYWHERE. There were four rumbling hot tubs on the pool deck where Grandeur only has two (that no longer rumble)...and the theater was huge! I could go as late as 10 min before a show and easily still find a seat. Comparatively, we would classify the Grandeur as a 'pretty' ship...the Infinity as a 'gorgeous' ship.

As far as "rocking," we did have a couple nights of windy weather. I personally did not feel the ship pitched very much. There were several passengers who were new to sailing who thought we were going to sink. The stabilizers worked like a charm in my humble opinion.

Fortunately, we look at the overall package, and while we loved the ship, we weren't terribly impressed with anything else.

We purchased the Cruise Video for $35 so we would have footage of the Panama Canal. There were many other activities that were shown on the previews that we wanted as well. As we watched the video last night for the first time with friends, we were terribly disappointed to see only footage of the activities that included crew members and very few passengers. Nothing that we had seen in the previews was on the tape. Footage of the Canal was great, but that was the only thing of interest on a $35 video.

Thumbs up Welcome 2014!

It is first time ?? (after my Happy New year message) I am posting on this thread and for those that we are new to, Rebeca - DW - and I have been cruising since 1971, but now became addicts to RCI and port of Baltimore, since my accessibility situation. We live in Arlington, VA and are ready to join in "local activities" of the BEAD BRIGADE!!!!
